Decatur, Georgia

From the April 17, 2005 Decatur Daily:
A homeowner turned the tide on an intruder Friday night by sneaking up on him and pointing a gun in his face. Police said homeowner Mark Patterson's wife called Decatur police while her husband kept the gun pointed at Buford Ray Cowley, 50, of 608 Alma St. N.W.

Police arrived a short time later and arrested Cowley. A press statement said the burglary occurred at 9:37 p.m. on Monroe Avenue Northwest. Awakened by footsteps, Patterson went to investigate and discovered someone was in one of his bedrooms. Police charged Cowley with second-degree burglary. He remains in jail on a $1,500 bond.
