Savannah, Georgia

From August 1, 2005 WSAV channel 3:
A weekend shooting in front of a downtown nightclub sent 3 people to the hospital. Two of the victims are also suspected of sparking the shooting by trying a to rob someone at gunpoint, but the would-be robbery victim had a gun too. An innocent bystander was also shot.

It happened in front of the Oz club, just before 3:00am Sunday as a large crowd left the club after a concert. It started when a man said 2 men tried to rob him as he sat in his car on Indian Street. He says he saw one of the men pull a gun, so he grabbed his gun and started shooting. Both suspects were shot and collapsed nearby. They were both taken to the hospital.

Unfortunately, a 24-year-old woman was caught in the fray. She was sitting in the back seat of a car when she realized she was shot in the leg, according to police reports. She was taken to the hospital too. Police say none of the people who were shot had life threatening injuries.
